Dua, also called supplication, is the best medium to communicate Allah (SWT). Allah never communicate his obedient in actual i.e. by voice but whenever you make dua, no matter in how much severe grief you are, you get an internal peace. Allah makes your way easy and directs you Hidayah to solve those problems. Here you will learn the key dua for prayer you should learn or memorize. 

Key Dua For Prayer

In the Holy Quran, Allah says "I will respond you." (Chapter 40: Verse 60). So being a Muslim, we should make as much dua as possible as your Allah has promised to respond.

Dua Prophet Muhammad (saw) Loved Most

 اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي ‏"‏ ‏.‏

(Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni)

Hazrat Aisha, the mother of believers, narrated that once she asked to our beloved prophet (saw), that what should I say in my dua when I come upon Laylatul-Qadr? Prophet Muhammad (saw) said the above dua which means "O Allah, you are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me." (Sahih (Darussalam))

Not only in Laylatul-Qadr whenever you pray, but you should also recite this dua in your supplication.

·       سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ ﴿﴾ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ ﴿﴾ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ ﴿﴾ وَلاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

"Glory be to you, O Allah and all praises are due unto you, and blessed is your name and high is your majesty and none is worthy of worship but you."

You must memorize this dua as you need to recite this just after starting the Salah.

·       Tahyaat

التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ ﴿﴾السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ﴿﴾ السَّلامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ ﴿﴾ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ﴿﴾ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

"All compliments, all physical prayer and all monetary worship are for Allah. Peace be upon you, Oh Prophet, and Allah's mercy and blessings. Peace is on us and all righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that no one is worthy of worship except Allah. And I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His slave and Messenger."

This dua is to be recited when you sit after praying every two rakah of Salah.

     رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

To recite after Tahyaat and Durood, which means "O Allah, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell-Fire."

·       Dua-e-qunoot

It is one of the most essential dua which you should memorize to read in Salah al-Witr.

اَللَّهُمَّ إنا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَنُثْنِئْ عَلَيْكَ الخَيْرَ وَنَشْكُرُكَ وَلَا نَكْفُرُكَ وَنَخْلَعُ وَنَتْرُكُ مَنْ ئَّفْجُرُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَلَكَ نُصَلِّئ وَنَسْجُدُ وَإِلَيْكَ نَسْعأئ وَنَحْفِدُ وَنَرْجُو رَحْمَتَكَ وَنَخْشآئ عَذَابَكَ إِنَّ عَذَابَكَ بِالكُفَّارِ مُلْحَقٌ

"O, Allah! We implore You for help and beg forgiveness of You and believe in You and rely on You and extol You and we are thankful to You and are not ungrateful to You, and we alienate and forsake those who disobey You. O, Allah! You alone do we worship and for You do we pray and prostrate and we betake to please You and present ourselves for the service in Your cause, and we hope for Your mercy and fear Your chastisement. Undoubtedly, your torment is going to overtake infidels O Allah!"

Besides this, you must memorize Durood to recite in Salah after Tahyaat.
